THE TRAVEL GUIDE

For someone who has travelled quite a bit, I’ve fallen in love with many different parts of the world. Here’s a little travel guide I’ve compiled for a few of my favourite cities:

PARIS, FRANCE –
attractions:

  • Eiffel Tower (obviously)
  • Pantheon
  • Musee De l’Orangerie
  • Louvre
  • Arc de Triomphe
  • Notre Dame

hotel recommendation: The Westin

places to eat: it sounds cheesy, but the McDonald’s here are so much fancier, I love it

This street is much steeper than it looks – on the right side by the green tarp is where I almost got hit by a pole. Good times.

LONDON, ENGLAND —
attractions:

  • London Eye
  • London Dungeon Experience
  • Kensington Palace
  • Westminster Abbey
  • Big Ben
  • Buckingham Palace
  • the Globe Theatre
  • Tower Bridge

shopping: New Look, Mango, Next, Primark

places to eat: Costa Coffee, Cafe Nero, Pizza Express, LOLA’S CUPCAKES

hotel recommendation: the Park Plaza

ICELAND —
attractions: (all approximately a 2-4 hour drive out of Reykjavik or Akureyri)

  • Reynisfjara Beach (black sand)
  • Gullfoss (golden falls)
  • The Geysirs/Golden Circle
  • Blue Lagoon

places to eat: unless you’re loaded, your most realistic option here is a Domino’s Pizza. It was approximately $28 for a large pizza — and that was cheap compared to everything else. A box of cookies cost me like $10.

hotel recommendation: Fosshotel
